I was personally very impressed by Senator Glenn's enduring good nature. He answered questions and signed autographs over the course of about three hours during his visit here at the Kennedy Space Center. It was truly an honor to have an opportunity to speak with one of our nations greatest heroes! Pete Nader (Space Shuttle Technician) demonstrates the Go For Launch! game to Astronaut/Senator John Glenn as well as the crew of STS-95. The crew of STS-95 were intrigued by the concept of having a boardgame that illustrated events from Launch to Landing. They were also impressed with the quality, detail and originality of the game. Astronaut/Senator John Glenn said that "I will have to get one when I get back to JSC". Astronaut Dr. Scott Parazynski and I playing Go for Launch! A veteran of three space flights, STS-66 (1994), STS-86 (1997), and STS-95 (1998), Dr. Parazynski has logged over 734 hours in space including over 5 hours of EVA. Dr. Parazynski currently serves as Deputy (Operations and Training) of the Astronaut Office ISS Branch. He is also assigned to STS-100/ISS Assembly Flight 6A, during which he will perform a pair of EVAs to install the Space Station robotic arm and other assembly tasks.
